Ever looked at Lara Worthington and thought, I need those Dior boots! Or that Celine pump! Or that Dion Lee cutaway dress! Well, as of today, you can quite literally shop Lara Worthington’s impossibly chic wardrobe at a fraction of the cost, and all for a good cause. Teaming up with luxury consignment angels, Vestiaire Collective, the Australian model and beauty entrepreneur is selling her wardrobe in its latest Charity Sale, with all proceeds donated to charity.

The collection consists of 27 unique pieces from Lara’s personal wardrobe which she has curated exclusively for vestiairecollective.com. The partnership will see 100% of the sales proceeds donated to three carefully selected charity partners: WWF Australia, The Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Bowel Cancer Australia. For Worthington, charity work is something very close to her heart. She recently transformed her beauty brand, The Base, into a non-for-profit enterprise, which now donates 100% of its net proceeds to three charities – each of them Australian, in honour of her home country, and each with a personal tie to Worthington. Meaning for every LB Cream sold (the hero product of the collection), a charity benefits, with customers able to nominate which charity they would like their money to go to.

The Vestiaire partnership is another example of Worthington’s philanthropic sensibility, the model and mother hoping to educate more and more people around the world of the important work of these organisations. Of the collection, Worthington notes: “Collaborating with Vestiaire Collective made so much sense. Not only are they providing new life for our fashion treasures, adding to the wider goal of making fashion more sustainable – they have an expert curation team who make certain we can shop the best of the best. I am excited to bring in some money for these items I’m passing on, and to share that money amongst my charity partners at Share The Base.”

Forever our style maven, brands such as Balenciaga, Celine, Yves Saint Laurent and Dion Lee will be available from today, with each piece symbolic of a memorable moment over the last few years. There’s a floral Zimmermann frock she recently wore to a dinner for the brand in Capri (which she also maintains is great for dancing), or an Attico slip dress with contrast patchwork print, which Worthington describes as the perfect holiday go-to for balmy summer evenings. “I love the idea of giving these pieces a new life and creating more memories for someone else,” she muses.

Recycled luxury fashion with an altruistic bent, is there anything better than that?
