It’s no secret Kendall Jenner is a fan of cult leather label By Far. She’s slung multiple variations of their famed ‘Rachel’ bag across those lithe shoulders of hers, but her favourite is undoubtedly the Rachel in glossy black patent. She’s teamed it with zebra pants, black puffer jackets and fleecy khaki sweaters. And over the weekend, Jenner was back touting the tote in New York City.
Strolling through the streets of Soho after Alexander Wang’s Spring / Sumer 2020 show, Kendall wedged her favourite bag between cherry red denim, rekindling our love for the baguette style inspired by Jennifer Aniston’s character in Friends. It’s a bag which has had a recurring role on the arms of the It-Girl elite. Sister Kylie has taken Rachel for a spin, too, sandwiching the bread-y bag between her arms on a night out. And sisterly gal pals Bella and Gigi have also carted Rachel around, albeit in different shades like choc croc and butter cream, Bella even adding cute buzzing bee charms to hers.
But let it be known, when a Jenner or Hadid touches something, it becomes an instant sell-out. Such is the case with Rachel. Ever since Kendall and co. began sporting her super cute silhouette, her impossibly shiny skin, her perfectly nostalgic shape – she became a bag about town – and Rachel promptly sold out, the brand unable to keep up with stock demands despite countless attempts of replenishment.
