The simplicity of order is one of the most unadulterated pleasures of the human experience. The joy of the perfect fit and the calming clarity of sensible sequence offers our often frustrating days a soothing respite. So, honouring the wonted iconography of the Russian Matryoshka doll is as much about folky nuance as it is about celebrating form and purpose. Carolina Herrera is a veteran of aristocratic style. Her 81 years has seen her helm her eponymous label as one worn by both A-listers and Royal Family members. Her staple, Baobab leather carry-all, the Matryoshka, is an ardent favourite. Lauded for its flawless utility and nesting-style size range, the tote purports the timeless elegance Herrera is known for. And while the Venezuelan born designer stepped down in 2018, new creative director Wes Gordon has continued to deliver an earnest dedication to the bag’s valid luxury.

This is Carolina Herrera’s new work of art.
