According to new reports, Armie Hammer appears “unfazed” as claims of cannibalism, emotional abuse and manipulation build against him. Despite his management and personal publicist parting ways with him a week ago, the 34-year-old Call Me By Your Name actor has been residing in Grand Cayman with sources who have reportedly seen Hammer about town claiming he doesn’t appear to have a care in the world.
“It’s quite horrifying, to be honest,” says one source.
“[He] walks up and down West Bay Road with no shirt or shoes, without a care in the world. Always boisterous and obnoxious and full of himself.”
As for Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, she is also believed to be in Grand Cayman solely looking after their two children, six-year-old Harper and four-year-old Ford. The source continued, suggesting that Hammer should be getting help.
“No one quite understands. Especially as Elizabeth raises her kids alone and kills herself to do everything for those children. No one wants him here or understands why he’s not in a facility of some sort.”
In direct messages shared across Instagram in early February by account @houseofeffie – messages which Hammer has not verified – the actor reportedly had conversations with different women about cannibalistic fetishes and disturbing sexual proclivities. The sender behind the handle @armiehammer told one woman of his appetite for drinking her blood. “I need your blood. I crave it,” the sender wrote. On another occasion, the sender writes, “I am 100 percent a cannibal”, before claiming to have eaten a live animal in the past.
Hammer has fervently denied the accusations, labelling them as “b*llshit claims”. His legal team have also protested the reports as “patently untrue”.
Last week Chambers took to Instagram to formally speak out about her former husband’s growing scandal.
“For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated,” Chambers posted. “Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realise how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal. At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter. My sole focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward.”
