Last September, Nadège Vanhée, who celebrates a decade at Hermès this year, knocked her Spring/Summer 2024 collection out of the park with a show at the Garde Républicaine in Paris.
Featuring a revolving door of modular knit dresses, lase-cut leathers, ultra mini shorts and cut-outs with brazen amounts of negative space, Vanhée brought a modern sensibility to the heritage of the French luxury house. With sensual silhouettes that flatter the body, the designer proves why a woman’s touch makes for collections underpinned by a deep understanding of clothes—not just as frill but as function.
Being Hermès, accessories are always a focal point, so this season’s offerings will no doubt spark our latest obsessions. So, with the house’s Autumn/Winter 2024 show right around the corner, we’ll have our eyes peeled for Vanhée’s ideas for the year ahead. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
