Next month, the David Jones Flagship store in the heart of Sydney will house Maison Valentino‘s newest pop up. Just in time for party dressing, the installation will hero the Valentino Garavani Roman Stud, a bold yet sophisticated evolution of the iconic Valentino Stud, enlarged in a macro version.
Loved and worn by the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie, the coveted rock stud accessories have grown in popularity to become a subtle nod of luxury. It also pays homage to Valentino’s heritage of romanticism, punk and non-conformist sensibilities.
Like the House’s own stores, the pop up feels luxurious and decadent with huge tubular brass structures accentuated by a face lit Valentino logo that surrounds and lends focus to a uniquely curved cement platform. The pop-up space is further defined by tone-on-tone ivory matte lacquered shelving against an ivory floor. It is here that provides the backdrop to a vibrant product offering from Valentino.
The special installation – which will run from November 2 to November 28 – will showcase the Valentino Garavani Roman Stud bags crafted in soft nappa leather and adorned with antique brass studs. The Top Handle and Shoulder Bag styles will be available in a variation of sizes and a vibrant colour palette. After all, Pierpaolo Piccioli did sound the return of bold colour blocking on the Spring/Summer 2022 runway.
The leather goods offering will also be complemented by an offering of must-have ankle strap shoes.
