Ski lovers, rejoice. Australian label TRÈS Studios has released its debut ski goggle and thermal collection, a high-performance accessory line that is functional and durable, albeit still errs on the side of sophisticated. Read: a brand you can fly down a black run in, and also mix in with a Moncler Grenoble puffer, a Perfect Moment houndstooth sweater, or a pair a Goldberg salopettes for après.

Indeed no one really understands Australian ski fashion–and the sartorial gulf between the aesthetic on the slopes here versus the European Alps—quite like dynamo duo and TRÈS founders Will Tresidder and Ally May Carey. Tressider, the marketing director of homegrown ski retailer SNOWSPORT, and his photographer and designer fiancé Carey have been making designer ski gear accessible to Australians for years. When you couldn’t get a Matches order delivered in time for a Thredbo trip, SNOWSPORT always had an Alpine aesthetic that more than did the job.

“We are so excited to introduce TRÈS to the skiing community,” says Carey. “Our mission is to redefine ski fashion by offering products that not only deliver exceptional performance but, importantly, make a bold style statement on the slopes. For too long we’ve seen the same looks recycled in skiing, and TRÈS is here to deliver a new creative statement that, most importantly, is still accessible to everyone.”

The goggles—well priced between AUD$229.99 and AUD$279.99—come in two unisex styles: the Tortin (oversized, sleek, high-shine) and the Valdez (retro-inspired). Both have adjustable straps and interchangeable lenses which are crafted with the label’s signature ProVis UV Shockguard Technology. This feature means the goggles offer 100% UVA/UVB/UVC protection and an anti-fog coating on the inner lens ensuring a fog-free ride.

The monochrome thermals—base layer tops, bottoms, neck gaiters and balaclavas—are designed by seasonal skiers Tressider and Carey and are made from breathable merino wool, rayon bamboo, copper infused cotton and elastane fibres. Take it from this editor: they are so stylish, you’ll be tempted to just wear these for an afternoon inside La Folie Douce. (But don’t, it’s freezing.)

Order on TRÈS Studios’ new website here. Pickup is also available in Thredbo if you need.
