Prepare to launch, the Rocket Man himself, Sir Elton John, has done a dash with Réalisation Par’s Dreamgirls in a limited-edition capsule collection made for good times.

A glorious collision of fashion, music and art, Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot reimagine the colourful world of Elton John by applying the iconic symbols of both his music and his style into Réalisation’s cult styles, creating the very first limited edition collaboration for brand.

The project all began with a note to Elton saying:

You gave us Rocketman, we want to give you Rocketwomen.
We love you for Réal.

From this modern love letter, a 14-piece collection featuring vintage band tees, silk party pieces, boiler suits and special edition silk accessories was born. With that “I’m with the band” sentiment and distinct disco bent, the collection comprises both re-worked signature styles and brand new pieces which take their names from Elton’s iconic songs.

There’s the ‘Your Song Baby Tee’; a classic white band tee featuring a soaring pegasus, a rainbow and John’s most famous song titles. Or the ‘Rocketman’ romper, a sublime silk-satin boiler suit inspired by John’s famous mechanic suits. ‘Tiny Dancer’ is a redux of the classic Christy dress, which draws its inspiration from the Chinois outfit worn in his Hammersmith 78’ concert, while sartorial escapism comes in its purest form via the Leon Dress; a brilliant, kaleidoscopic mash-up of graffiti, pop iconography and Bernie Taupin’s iconic lyricism – available in both a midi and mini version.

Tapping the artistic well of Pauly Bonomelli, a mixed media artist and friend of the brand who has worked the musical likes of A$AP Rocky, Kayne West and ASAP Nast, Réalisation Par co-created special edition prints with Bonomelli, paying homage to the artist’s memory-soaked, emotion-filled sculptures, paintings and installations, along with John’s performative leitmotifs.

Of the collaboration, John says: ‘It’s great to see how my music has inspired this fabulous collection – I hope all the Dreamgirl’s enjoy wearing it as much as I’ve enjoyed playing the songs and performing to my fans!”

Réalisation will be donating a percentage of profits directly to the Elton John Charitable trust, which was set up by Elton John and is husband David Furnish to make charitable contributions outside the world of HIV/AIDS. This trust supports: UNICEF, The Breast Cancer research foundation, Morris Animal Foundation (and more).

You can also tune in to Elton’s curated playlist on Réal Radio, the Spotify channel where you can listen to a growing selection of music from the Réalisation team and others that inspire.

A sartorial imagining of John’s classic hits and costumes, take a ride with the Rocket Man and Réalisation. Whether you’re a Blue Jean Baby, L.A. Lady or Seamstress For The Band, this collection’s for you.

The Elton John For Réal collection is available now and will be sold exclusively online at Realisationpar.com with prices from $69 – $240 USD.
