Here’s something funny for your Friday. Taylor Swift has unquestionably been keeping a very low public profile since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West released that SnapChat phone footage. Yes, the woman who has made a career out of defending herself with bitter lyrics about mean girls, publicists, Katy Perry and ex-boyfriends has finally met a power match she can’t win in the Wests. While I don’t condone Kardashian attacking the young 26-year-old singer in the public way she did, it appears Swift has been given a decent reality check of some description.
While only breaking her social media silence this week to show us a tedious video of her cat and to wish Karlie Kloss a happy birthday, the Wildest Dreams singer has gone out of her way to avoid media attention. Of course there were reports she was the first celebrity to be offered Instagram’s new feature of disabling comments or specific words (or snake emojis) from her posts. Now though – and in more evidence that perhaps the pressure and criticism has got to Swift – she’s actually walking sideways to avoid photographer’s lenses.
