A mere 24 hours after Travis Kelce’s representatives addressed the faux ‘breakup PR contract’ circulating the internet, Taylor Swift made a statement of her own by arriving at the NFL season opener in a look that fully cements her ‘WAG’ status. A new bombshell has entered the arena, indeed.
After a year of playing coy on the sidelines in Kansas City Chiefs merchandise, Swift has sartorially embraced her position as the girlfriend to the world’s most famous tight end in a Versace Canadian tuxedo, red lacquered boots from Giuseppe Zanotti, Bulgari jewellery and a Louis Vuitton purse.
As Swift sings in the single “Fifteen” of her second studio album Fearless, “In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team.” What could be more powerful than showing up to support your man looking like the global superstar you are?

Taking her seat in Kelce’s private box at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift paid homage to the ensemble she wore to the last football game she attended—the 58th Super Bowl. For the Las Vegas match, Swift wore bejewelled Area jeans and a corset from Australian label Dion Lee, who has recently entered voluntary administration.
Now, several months and a highly successful Australian and European leg of her Eras tour later, Swift has worn a boned denim top with Medusa gold hardware from the Italian luxuriate. She also wore cut-off jeans, thigh-high burgundy shoes and a soft-as-butter black leather side trunk designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.

However, it was Swift’s bombshell curls that served as the look’s pièce de résistance. Perhaps taking cues from the Polly Pocket to her Barbie, Sabrina Carpenter, Swift stepped out with her blonde tresses in tousled ringlets and a dramatic side-swept fringe. We might not have Posh Spice wearing an England singlet, micro shorts and Hermès Birkin in the stands, but Swift is ushering in a new mode of spectator style. Bring on the rest of the season.
