In perfect timing then sass & bide has crafted a limited edition bespoke tee in support of Australian children’s charity Barnardos with 100 percent of profits from its sale being donated directly to the organisation.
Hand-embellished with intricate beading and sequins in an unmistakably sass & bide aesthetic, the Love & Protect shirt proudly names two core values that vulnerable children are all deserving of and which Barnardos works so hard to actualise.
Such support is especially beneficial when considering just how haunting the statistics surrounding child abuse are: every day, there are more than 160 substantiated cases of child abuse or neglect; children under 18 make up more than a quarter of the homeless population; and children under the age of one – the most vulnerable and defenceless – are most likely to be the victims of child abuse or neglect.
For a cause this important, it comes as no surprise that the Love & Protect shirt sold out completely online within an hour of its initial launch. A spokesperson for sass & bide has announced a second release, which at the time of writing this article, has not yet gone live.
