Once upon a time, every celebrity of the ’90s and early oughts had their own fragrance. For Sarah Jessica Parker that perfume was named “Lovely”, a concoction of white amber, orchid and mandarin. After launching the namesake scent in 2005, the actress turned attention to her next business venture: winemaking. She partnered with Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron of New Zealand-based company Invivo for a range of award-winning wines under the apt title “SJP”. The rosé is exceptional.

“The wine tasting and blending process has some similarities to perfume making,” Parker exclusively explains to GRAZIA. “They both involve identifying different notes and bouquets of fragrance, and blending the components together to create a final product that is greater than the sum of its parts.”

This year, Parker has expanded her repertoire to feature a range of low-alcohol tipples made in Australia. Dubbed under the banner “Sevenly”, the collection features four varietals with just seven percent alcohol. It includes a Prosecco filled with unique floral notes, a full-bodied and fresh Sauvignon Blanc, a sweet Rosé and a oaky Red Blend. As a co-founder of the range, Parker has been involved from tastings to packaging design.

“Though they are lighter, we’ve worked hard to ensure that Sevenly wines don’t compromise on quality or flavour,” she notes. The wine is produced from an Australian winery that sources energy from 100 percent wind and solar. For the actress-cum-sommelier, Parker recognised a demand for lower alcohol wine around the globe as a healthier alternative to a boozy celebration.

“As with all of our wines, I hope the Sevenly wines are able to enlighten all of the senses,” Parker adds. “When I think of our customers in Australia drinking our wines, I hope they are enjoying every part of the experience, from smell and taste to enjoying with a meal or sharing with friends. It means so much to us that our customers have chosen a bottle of Sevenly to enjoy alongside their evening meal or at celebrations.”

The wines are now available exclusively at Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market. Drink responsibly.
