Modern Family star Sarah Hyland married her long-time love Wells Adams over the weekend, after several false starts due to the pandemic.

Engaged since 2019 and with a wedding that was originally slated for August 2020, Wells and Hyland had to postpone their nuptials multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent restrictions on gatherings. While we were all focused on the Jen-and-Ben weekender celebration, Hyland and Wells quietly got hitched in California.

Sarah Hyland wore two beautiful haute couture creations by Vera Wang on the day. Her ceremony gown was a light ivory silk faille with a sweetheart neckline and hand pleated bodice.

Delicate French tulle sleeves added extra romance, while a sky-high slit gave a modern twist. Hyland teamed the gown with a gathered cathedral length Italian tulle veil that featured hand appliqué macramé lace as a border.

For the reception, Hyland opted for an elegant Italian crepe gown in soft white that featured a draped neckline, hand placed macramé lace and draped Italian tulle sleeves.

Hyland and Wells had several famous faces in attendance, most notably the Modern Family cast – it really was a reunion of sorts. Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were all present and accounted for, sharing party snaps in the classic wedding photo booth.

“A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series,” Hyland wrote on an Instagram post the day of her planned wedding last year, accompanying a series of loved-up photos with Adams. “We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine.”

Now the couple has finally gotten to take pictures and drink wine with their friends and family.
