Collaborators and co-provocateurs Sam Smith and Kim Petras have just arrived at the 65th Grammy Awards and that’s what you call putting the red in red carpet.

The singers, whose song ‘Unholy’ has arguably become one of the biggest earworms of the past 12 months, turned up and turned out in matching hellfire red ensembles.

Sam Smith is determined to prove to their detractors that they’re less concerned about what people think and more about having fun with their fashion. Sporting a voluminous red Valentino coat, gloves and top hat with lace fascinator across the eyes, Smith looked every bit the devilish dandy as they walked down the red carpet with cane in hand.

By their side, German pop singer Kim Petras wore a bridal-inspired red dress – the perfect compliment that made the pair look like your dream goth-inspired wedding, complete with matching bridal party consisting of drag performers Violet Chachki and Gottmik.

Smith and Petras will be performing ‘Unholy’ tonight at the Grammy Awards, which has been nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

British singer Smith has been fending off criticism from multiple fronts this year in the form of body shaming and even being accused of creating a music video that’s “too sexy” for YouTube.

‘I’m Not Here To Make Friends’ is the first track off a new album Gloria which came out at the end of January.
