Sam Claflin and Laura Haddock are expecting their second child together. The Guardians Of The Galaxy actress, 32, wore an Emilia Wickstead pink dress – baby bump on show – while attending a Birks Jewellery UK launch party in London.
The addition will be the second for Haddock and her husband Claflin (The Hunger Games, Me Before You). The couple already have a son who they welcomed in January of 2016. At the time, Claflin said he always thought he knew what it would be like to be a parent.
“[But when he was] born, it’s like another level of love that you’ve never experienced before—[that] you can’t describe to someone unless [they’re] in it,” he told People. “Of course it’s hard, [but] it’s all worth it. The rewards are just endless. He’s literally the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Claflin smashed our hearts when we interviewed him ahead of his film Me Before You’s release last year. The script centred upon a 31-year-old high-flying banker who became a quadriplegic after a motorcycle accident. When asked if he and Haddock had spoken about what might happen should he become victim to the same fate, he replied, “I can’t help but have those conversations.”
“In my eyes, I have so many reasons to live that I’d like to think I wouldn’t want my wife to leave me, but you know, I think I’d probably say that she should go and spread her wings. But I’d love to think she’d stick by me and I’d do the same thing.”
