Saint Laurent fine jewellery
Saint Laurent by Juergen Teller

In good news for fashion enthusiasts, Saint Laurent fine jewellery is officially here.

While the brand has long been a go-to for luxury accessories, Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie marks a first for the house in the dedicated fine jewellery space. The inaugural collection is made up of gold, diamonds and other valuable materials, all carefully selected by creative director, Anthony Vaccarello. Pieces are an extension of the brand’s timeless sophistication, consisting of an essential range of delicate bracelets, cuffs, necklaces and earrings that Vaccarello describes as “functional-collectible.”

“They are at once novel and suited for endless future use regardless of seasons and trends,” he wrote in a statement about the launch.

The line features signatures from the French fashion house, including the Cassandre and Maillon motifs that are reimagined in a new materiality.

Capturing the forward-looking outlook and exacting Parisian excellence of the house that Yves Saint Laurent built and the modern ease of Vaccarello’s creative vision, the collection is an instant classic.

Launching with a campaign shot by Juergen Teller, models are seen in the garden wearing chunky bangles, complimented by sensual jersey evening gowns, while stacks of gold and silver are emboldened by deep navy and green hues.

In recent seasons, Prada, Balmain and Gucci have also diversified their offerings with fine jewellery, showcasing a need for more everyday pieces from luxury fashion houses.

Saint Laurent Fine Jewellery will be available in Australia exclusively at the Saint Laurent Collins Street Melbourne Flagship from June.
