Will Gluck – the director behind Friends With Benefits and Easy A – along with casting directors have their eye on Australian actress Rose Byrne. According to EW, the 37-year-old is reportedly in negotiations to star alongside James Corden in a film based on the children’s fantasy story by Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit.
The original book was first published in 1902 and focused around the relationship between a rabbit and a gardener, Mr McGregor. Early whispers have implied Corden will voice Peter while Byrne’s role hasn’t yet been divulged.
No word yet on when Sony’s “live-action/animation hybrid” adaptation is set to be released. In the meantime, you’ll see the Bad Neighbours 2 star in upcoming films Larrikans and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.
