2019 was the year of (among other things) the bare lash. Mascara took a backseat in favour of other makeup frivolities; bright shadow, punchy cheek colour and textured, bold lips all had their moment in the sun. But makeup matriarch Rhianna has just announced Fenty Beauty is weeks away from dropping Full Frontal Mascara. In other words, our lashes are ready.

Judging from Instagram and an official release issued by the brand, the mascara features a dual-sided “flat-to-fat” wand, where the “fat” side is designed to deposit maximum product for thick volume, and the “flat” side combs through and defines. The formula itself is water-resistant, meaning it withstands sweat, smudging and the occasional tear (we hope not).

Overall, it’s said to volumise, lift, lengthen and curl – the holy grail when it comes to lashes. Given the Fenty effect, we’re predicting that this major launch might breath new life into the mascara category – in a way that only Rhi Rhi can do.

Fenty Full Frontal Mascara will be available in Sephora from January 16, 2020 for $39.
