During World War II where a generation of women were looking for a female figurehead in mainstream media, Wonder Woman, was and continues to be our ally. From the character’s inception in 1941 to her most recent appearance on the silver screen in 2017, we now preparing for her anticipated return in Wonder Woman 1984, played by Gal Gadot.
“We men have so many different superheroes, but Gal put the female superhero on the map for the modern generation, which is huge,” Wonder Woman trainer, Magnus Lygdback told ICON in the lead up to the film’s release. “It’s just an inspiration to see her in action.”
