Kanye West must have expected – no actually, wanted – some controversy following the release of the video for his song “Famous”, which depicts 11 high profile people including Taylor Swift, Anna Wintour and Donald Trump naked in bed with him.
There’s been surprisingly little public reaction from Kim Kardashian (obviously), Taylor Swift, George Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby following the video’s release, but these are the reactions we know about so far.
Ray J
The reason for the singer’s inclusion in “Famous” is obvious, especially given his placement next to Kim Kardashian – Kim and Ray J made the sex tape together that, once leaked, became the catalyst and foundation for her fame. At yesterday’s BET Awards, he told Entertainment Tonight the video had upset his fiancée.
“Man, I’m just trying to stay positive. “I’m engaged. My marriage is all messed up ’cause of craziness. I’m not part of nothing crazy. I walk down a good path,” he continued. “My fiancée tripping. It’s all bad in my world, and that ain’t cool.”
Chris Brown
It seems seeing himself in the “Famous” video gave an embattled Chris Brown (he’s currently involved in at least two separate law suits) something to laugh about it.
“Why I gotta have the plumbers butt/ crack showing WAX figure?” he captioned an Instagram post. “This [expletive] KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy.”
George Bush
A spokesperson for the former US president told TMZ: “In case there was any doubt … that is not President Bush. He is in much better shape.” It seems Bush’s strategy is to have a laugh about it. Which is undoubtedly not the same as Taylor’s Swift’s.
Taylor Swift
Kanye’s main nemesis is yet to personally respond to her inclusion in “Famous”, but a Swift camp insider told Hollywood Life that she is, unsurprisingly, furious.
“Taylor is furious after seeing Kanye’s video. She feels like she’s been assaulted. She knew he was unpredictable but didn’t think he would go so far. She’s strategizing with her team as to what her next move should be.”
