Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, according to the comedian himself, who confirmed the ‘label’s stage’ of his romance on a video interview earlier this week.
Though the milestone makes sense—they’ve been dating since October, and even Kanye West and Julia Fox are at boyfriend- girlfriend status—what doesn’t make a shred of sense is the aesthetics of Davidson’s bedroom, which were on full view while he was confirming he’s dating the world’s most minimally chic woman. A woman, lest we forget, who has white Christmas decorations and no taps.
Sitting down for an interview with People (the TV Show!), the comedian gave host Kay Adams a mini bedroom tour. The room, which is found in his Staten Island abode, was the video’s backdrop, showing Davidson’s bed with, not one, but multiple stuffed animals on it, as well as a huge yellow flower pillow, a brown velvet bedspread, and his closet door left wide open.
Naturally, the internet was quick to comment, with many joking Davidson’s backdrop looks not too dissimilar from most people’s Zoom backgrounds on company calls.
Sharing a screenshot from the interview on Instagram and creating a meme, comedy account Queen of Corporate wrote, “Me joining a Zoom meeting and forgetting my room looks like a cry for help,” before adding in the caption, “A level of intimacy no one was ready for.”
But it was what Queen of Corporate added in the comments of the post that really stood out: “I just can’t imagine Kim standing in that room.” Exactly. Spot on. There is no way, zero, zilch, that Kimberly Kardashian steps foot into this bedroom. This begs the question, are these two really dating? Or has this been one long promo for the new Kardashian show premiering on Hulu in April? This is Kris Jenner we’re talking about and, well, those stuffed animals speak for themselves.
