Miley Cyrus rang in 2023 with a second instalment of her annual New Year’s Eve Party.
The show returned to NBC after a successful launch in 2022 (it was co-hosted by Pete Davidson) but this year’s version was bigger and better than before – with a very special performance from the ever-iconic Paris Hilton.
Hilton joined Cyrus and SIA on stage to perform a version of her 2006 single, Stars Are Blind.
“Still on a high after last night!” she captioned a carousel of Instagram pictures: “It felt so good to be back on stage, and it was so inspiring to be surrounded by so many talented artists who I look up to and feel lucky to call my friends. 🥹 2023, I already love you! 💖 #StarsAreBlind 💫 #Sliving”.

To add to the nostalgia, Hilton even wore a light pink iteration of her infamous 21st birthday dress. The chainmail number has been emulated for decades since, cementing Hilton’s status as a cultural icon. She paired it with pink mesh gloves, a diamanté choker, sparkling heels and lots of blonde hair.

Cyrus followed suit, wearing a baby pink dress with a plunging neckline and ruched waistline. She also wore a cream heel and had her top deck blonde hair crimped – a firm indicator that the Barbiecore trend that reigned supreme in 2022 is still well and truly alive as we enter the new year.
The performance was one of Hilton’s first returns to stage as a performer (she often takes the stage as a DJ) and we honestly couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the new year.
