When Paris Hilton visited Sydney, Australia with Kim Kardashian in 2006, Kanye West was watching. Yes, the now 35-year-old businesswoman had employed Kardashian as a styling assistant, closet-clearer and Louis Vuitton-wielding best friend. Who was that girl, a lot asked.
Now, 10 years later, it’s Kardashian at the top of the fame game while Hilton has settled into a more subtle life. And amid the controversy surrounding Kanye West’s new music video, Famous, the Hilton heir has liked a telling meme.
The image, where Hilton’s head has been photo-shopped onto Taylor Swift’s body – the woman the song is actually about – sends a poignant reminder to West that it was indeed Hilton who made his b*tch famous.
While the pair seem to have made amends now, Hilton threw shade Kardashians way on more than one occasion in recent years. In a 2008 radio interview, Hilton – who’s gone on the record to say she “inspired” Kardashian – told listeners she didn’t want Kardashian’s butt. “It’s gross,” she [famously] said. “It reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.”
