The first time most people ever became aware of Kim Kardashian was after the 2007 leak of her sex tape with singer Ray J.

But viewers of The Simple Life, Paris Hilton’s early 00’s reality show with Nicole Richie, knew Kim as Paris’ close friend and occasional wardrobe organiser.

Fast forward a decade and Kim rose to fame on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she and Paris had a falling out as Hilton’s celebrity status declined, the pair rekindled their friendship just last year and now, Paris is imitating her former minion.

Hilton has dressed up as Kim for Kanye West’s Yeezy season 6 campaign, posing for a series of images in which she mimics outfits worn by Kim down to a T.

Both women shared the images to their Instagram accounts, with Paris humbly saying it was “so much fun being a Kim clone”.

Kim was gracious enough to refer to Paris as “forever the OG” in the caption of hers.

Both Paris and Kim are masters at monetising their lives and getting the public’s attention, so generating publicity for Yeezy season 6 is likely the main motivator.

But also, at this moment as women in Hollywood are banding together to support one another with the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, Paris and Kim might have realised that officially putting their feud behind them and publicly admiring each other is just a very now move to make – and one they can, of course, profit from.

Proving just how much the tables have turned, Kim is now one of the most followed people on Instagram with 107 million followers, while Hilton has a more modest eight million.

Paris may have taught Kim how to be a reality star, but it seems she now has a few things to learn from her former underling.

Oh, how the tables have turned.
