Prince Harry really does resemble his late mother, Princess Diana. She was, after all, nicknamed The People’s Princess partly due to her empathy, genuineness and humour. And in outtakes from their first interview as a couple, the Prince and his fiancé Meghan Markle have shown off their playful side.

The BBC released unseen footage of the pair – alas with no audio – in the moments before and between questioning by journalist Mishal Husain. While the polished interview showed a very real, sweet and deeply-in-love coupling that we watched over and over, the outtakes show the Royals goofing around, smirks aplenty.

The couple told Husain they were introduced by a mutual friend in July 2016 and 18 months later – after several secret dates and a camping trip to Botswana – Harry proposed to the Suits actress in their London cottage while roasting a chicken. “It was an amazing surprise,” Markle gushed. “It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee. As a matter of fact, I could barely let [him] finish proposing. I was like, ‘Can I say ‘yes now?’” The 33-year-old Prince and 36-year-old actress will be married in the English Spring in May 2018.

We doubt Prince William and Kate Middleton share a similar bloopers reel.
