Modern dating is a minefield, especially when you’re Olivia Rodrigo, who we can only assume is utterly besieged with options. So, how does she wade through it all, you wonder?

Recently, the songstress revealed that she’s worked out an “oddly specific” way to determine the princes from the frogs early on. In fact, it’s just one question she needs to ask that tells her all she needs to know about a suitor.

In a recent Netflix promotional video, the 21-year-old shared her greatest dating ‘Ick’: Men wanting to go to space.

‘The biggest red flag? Okay, this is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates,” she said. “I always ask them if they would want to go to space.”

The question may seem relatively innocent and inconsequential, but their answer could prove a major red flag for Rodrigo.

“If they say yes, I don’t date them,” she confessed with a laugh. “I just think if you want to go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself.”

Honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Just think about some of the world’s loudest male Space enthusiasts and their cosmic egos. And if you don’t take our word for it, Grimes, who shares three children with SpaceX founder Elon Musk, also took to the Internet to back Rodrigo’s observations.

“It’s true,” wrote the 36-year-old when retweeting the news. “Only women should be going to space.”

Luckily for Rodridogo, her current boyfriend, actor Louis Partridge, is a little more down to Earth, with no apparent plans to explore beyond the atmosphere.

The pair were first reported to be dating in October last year and only recently made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
