Big Little Lies season 2 isn’t due to air until sometime in 2019, but we all already know what our reaction will be once it finishes:

So it’s good news, then, that Nicole Kidman has hinted a third season of the addictive HBO series could be on the cards.

Speaking to Variety, Kidman acknowledged what a mammoth task it would be to get the star-studded cast back together for a third season, but didn’t rule out the possibility.

“I think it would be hard to get the whole group together,” she said.

“But,” the actress added, “we would love to do it.”

Big Little Lies, based on the novel by Liane Moriarty, was only ever intended to be a mini-series. But the show proved so popular a second season was ordered.

Is asking for a third too much? Watch this space.

Big Little Lies season two, starring Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep, is due to premiere on HBO sometime in 2019.
