Nobu Restaurant in Malibu is frequented by A-listers and often serves as the location to the buzziest of sightings (for example when Jennifer Lopez was spotted partaking in PDA with Ben Affleck for the first time since 2004). At the weekend it played host to a celebrity-fuelled dinner party with Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton’s Women’s Collection.
Among the guests (and muses to the Maison) was Australian-born model Miranda Kerr, actress Phoebe Dynevor, rapper Jaden Smith, Squid Game star and model HoYeon Jung, tennis player Naomi Osaka, YouTuber Emma Chamberlain as well as the Haim sisters.
Every guest was dressed head-to-toe in the Italian house’s new styles and signature accessories. In October Louis Vuitton unveiled Spring/Summer 2022 at the historical Lourve in the centre of Paris. This year is particularly special as it marks the 200th birthday of the house namesake.
“We’ve been doing this dinner for many years now,” Ghesquière told his guests. “This has always been a casual way to get together outside of the show schedule when we are not in a rush and really have time for a quality moment, real discussion, and to meet some of the new talent in LA – many of whom have become our collaborators. We’ve been missing each other, so it was nice to set up a chill moment.”
Overlooking the Malibu coastline, actress Chloë Grace Mortez was seen embracing HoYeon Jung while Jaden Smith was seemingly in deep conversation with Naomi Osaka. Delve inside more of the event, below.
