Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman and her husband dancer Benjamin Millepied have reportedly ended their 11-year marriage following rumours he had an affair with climate change activist Camille Étienne.
“After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs,” an insider told US Weekly.
The couple share two children together.
The 42-year-old May December actress—a fierce feminist and who turned heads during Haute Couture week in Paris—was spotted in Sydney on August 4 without her 4-carat wedding ring despite it being her and Millepied’s wedding anniversary.
It comes just two months after French magazine Voici published images of Millepied, 46, and Étienne—who at 25 years old is over 20 years his junior, and is friends with Greta Thunberg—meeting up in his office and then leaving just 10 minutes apart.
At the time, Portman reportedly knew of her husband’s infidelity and both were fighting to save their marriage.
Portman and Millepied met on the set of the 2009 Oscar-winning ballet movie Swan Lake of which Portman starred and Millepied did the choreography. By December 2010, the couple were engaged. In 2011, they welcomed their son, Aleph, and a year later tied the knot in a lavish, after-dark oceanfront ceremony in Big Sur, California. Portman wore Rodarte.
In 2017, the couple welcomed their daughter Amalia.
More to come.
