The Nars Orgasm Blush Powder is legendary as far as makeup products go. Described as a “peachy pink with golden shimmer”, the classic shade has won countless awards, and been declare the best-selling blush in the US of all time.
Personally I’m a big fan – it’s warm, illuminates the complexion, and gives it a healthy wash of colour. It’s definitely shimmery – which is not a characteristic I’d typically gravitate towards – but instead of sitting on top of the skin it blends beautifully, giving the skin a soft-focused, youthful finish.

Given its popularity, Nars Orgasm has been translated to lip tints, cream and liquid formulas. But each year, the brand also releases a limited seasonal collection – this year’s is housed in pink packaging (cute), but what’s really surprised me is just how often I’m reaching for The Multiple Stick in shade Orgasm Rush.
The shade is deeper than the original; it’s referred to as a ‘rosy bronze’ with subtle flecks of soft gold shimmer (you can also see it swatched on different skin tones here). The cream is smooth and velvety, but dries down just enough on the skin so that it stays in place all day (this is a trait I find near-impossible to find when using cream-based products). Initially I thought it might make a great subtle bronzer to use across the cheeks and bridge of my nose, but I’ve found it’s perfect for all-over natural face colour. I’ve been patting it across my cheeks, nose, eyelids and on my lips – the finish is natural, luminous, and makes me look like I’ve just spent a week somewhere warm. It blends easily, works well with fingers and has cut my daily makeup routine from 10 minutes to eight. True to its name, it’s such a great formula with multiple uses – I’m 100% buying a second before it disappears for ever.
