Celebrity weddings are a major occasion, typically involving a hyper-glamorous affair with hundreds of illustrious guests—and a bill in the millions. But for Naomi Watts, something a little more intimate was the way to go to wed her longtime partner, Billy Crudup.
Confirming the news on Instagram, the actress posted a series of snaps from the weekend that included a shot of the newlyweds embracing outside of a Manhattan courthouse.
She kept most of the details to herself, simply captioning the post, “Hitched!”
In another image, Watts, 54, is pictured with a close-up of her dress, the Oscar de la Renta‘s delicate ‘Sweetheart Water Lily Guipure’ dress, to be specific. The gown, which featured a flattering A-line silhouette and square neckline in an intricate water lily lace fabric, was a timeless choice—and retails for $7,839 AUD.
She accessorised minimally with gold Gianvito Rossi heels, an Anita Ko pear diamond choker, and carried a sweet bouquet from a local deli. The actress later wore cream sunglasses and a white blazer over her wedding dress.
Meanwhile, her groom chose a classic navy blue suit with a crisp white shirt sans a tie or bowtie.
For bridal beauty, the actress wore her blonde lob in relaxed waves by Ryan Trygstad, and kept her makeup fresh with a rosy look by her trustd MUA, Kyra Panchenko.
Following her divorce from Liev Schreiber—whom she shares two children with—in 2016, Watts and Crudup began dating 2017 after meeting on the set of their Netflix series, Gypsy.
Crudup, 54, shares a son with his ex Mary-Louise Parker who he was with from 1996 to 2003 before dating Claire Danes from 2004-2006.
