On the eve of the release of her eighth studio LP, “Flowers” singer Miley Cyrus wants you to know she has left her electro-sleaze “Wrecking Ball” era behind her. Stepping out to join fashion’s elite at Versace’s Fall/Winter 2023 show in West Hollywood, 30-year-old Cyrus was resplendent in one of Donatella’s best: cascading chiffon, diamond chains, and of course, a high split.
Cyrus was clearly sat in the music section and was seen cosying up to Lil Nas X and Sir. Elton John. The show, uprooted from its home in Milan and staged just days before the Oscars, was strategically focused on Hollywood’s glamorous past.

“With this collection, I put myself to the test. It felt like a challenge,” says Donatella Versace. “In Milan, I’m at home. Showing in Los Angeles was getting out of my comfort zone. When I create a collection, I want to feel insecure… Maybe I’m crazy, but this is the questioning that helps me grow and improve.”
“I wanted luxury after all of the streetwear from the past few years,” she continues. “I worked to enhance the foundations of the Maison Versace, of Gianni’s work. I started with a collection from 1995, and I found a renewed desire towards tailoring, architecture, shapes, and cuts.”
