May 5, 2021: Currently on the press junket for her brand-new single, “Without You,” Miley Cyrus shared a series of photos to her Instagram feed yesterday ahead of her YouTube Brandcast Delivered performance. Unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old brought her fashion A-game for the pre-show photoshoot, debuting a look so good, I’ve screen-shotted it and added it to my folder of double take-worthy party looks worth recreating ASAP.

The look is none other than an Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2021 ensemble, pulled straight from the French fashion designer’s lookbook. The rocker-chic aesthetic, created collaboratively with her stylist Bradley Kenneth, was next-level, comprised of a loose-fitting white tank half-tucked into sultry sheer embellished pants featuring black marabou feather trim. Without a doubt, the bold bottoms stole the show, both literally and figuratively. Cyrus rounded out the fierce look with playful statement rings, bracelets, layered necklaces, and blacked-out eye shield sunglasses.

The ‘Prisoner” singer teamed the apparel with a pair of latex elbow evening gloves, another one of Vauthier’s designs. This high-drama signature of old Hollywood style making a comeback in today’s generation of celebrities. Notable names like Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid, Lizzo, and Zoe Kravitz have also made a case for the opera gloves in both everyday and red carpet dressing. Cyrus’s take on the trend is, perhaps, our favourite of all.

In Cyrus’s Instagram post, the singer also took the opportunity to get her 129 million followers excited for her upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance, guest hosted by Elon Musk. The Disney Channel alum appropriately captioned the post, “Imma keep workin’ from dawn to dusk, so I can keep buyin’ cars off @ElonMusk,” which are the lyrics from her 2019 song “Cattitude.” She added, “See you soon, dude.” Epic.
