Meghan Markle is in hot water again. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is facing yet another set of allegations that she mistreats her staff, after her former florist made her version of an incident public.
In a new article for The Sunday Times, Daily Beast editor Tom Sykes spoke to several of Markle’s former staff members, including one celebrity florist who reportedly felt the full brunt of Markle’s wrath.
As Sykes reports, the florist had posted a small portion of a bouquet for Markle to her social media—without identifying the royal, of course. When Markle found out, she allegedly “screamed” down the phone line at her florist for 30 minutes.
“They vowed never to work with her again, despite the prestige of having her as a client,” the insider told Sykes. “If you were working for her, you were often treated like a tradesman who could be treated like s**t.”
The report comes hot off the heels of an explosive expose from The Hollywood Reporter who collected accounts from former employees who claimed they were “terrorised” by Markle. Five years ago, Markle faced similar claims prompting an official investigation by Buckingham Palace.
Conversely, US Weekly’s editor Dan Wakeford has published a cover with Markle this month where the publication spoke to seven of the Duchess’ former staff members—five on the record, and two off the record.
“They say the previous anonymous allegations made are wildly inaccurate and damaging,” says Wakeford. “All seven employees had a positive experience working for Meghan and Harry.”

Tension between the Royal Family and Markle and Prince Harry is reportedly still high since the couple exited the firm in pursuit of a “quieter” life before giving a tell-all interview to Oprah Winfrey and writing a revelatory book, Spare.
This year, the couple have reportedly been invited to spend Christmas with Princess Diana’s family in Northampton.
