It was the show Gen Y + Z-ers relied on in a post-Sex And The City world, getting their fashion fix every week via Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf, even Vanessa Abrams on the bitchy-but-brilliant-and-very-binge-worthy Gossip Girl. The halls of Constance Billard School for Girls proved a haven of impeccable Upper East Side style, prompting us all to try a headband or preppy schoolgirl tie at one point or another.

And now, with HBO Max breathing new, equally scandalous life into Gossip Girl for its much-anticipated reboot, we’re ready to meet our new style icons for the years ahead as more of the cast have been revealed.

First on the Gossip Girl roll-call is actress and former Rookie magazine editor, Tavi Gevinson, who you may remember as being one of the first – and youngest – influencer-types, sitting front row at all the fabulous fashion shows at just 12-years-old. Now 23 and with several acting credits under her creative belt including Scream Queens, the animated short film Cadavar and various New York theatre, Gevinson heads up the GG cast.

High Fidelity actor Thomas Doherty joins her, and with his bad boy good looks and sharp-as-a-knife jawline, is pitted as the new Chuck Bass (for obvious reasons).

Then there’s Next to Normal actor Adam Chanler-Berat, who with his gawky grin and disarming brown eyes we’re guessing may take on Penn Badgley’s Dan Humphrey role (before he became a sexy serial killer).

While actress Zion Moreno has also been revealed. Relatively fresh to the acting scene, Moreno’s credits include TNT’s Claws and she could either go sweet-as-pie or bitch, pass me my tie.

The four new cast members join Code Black’s Emily Alyn Lind, who was announced as a lead and will no doubt spearhead our style movements for the year, alongside Whitney Peak, Johnathan Fernandez and Jason Gotay in the forthcoming 10-episode long series.

So get the presser ready, it’s time to go back to school – Gossip Girl style.
