Praise be: MAC Cosmetics is back this year giving out free lipsticks for International Lipstick Day (an annual holiday worth celebrating, in our opinion).
The annual deal kicked off this morning, where shoppers are eligible to receive a free lipstick with any purchase made online or in-store. The shades on offer this year consist of three iconic MAC nudes: Honeylove Matte Lipstick, Teddy 2.0 Powder Kiss Lipstick, and Taupe Matte Lipstick. Because ‘nude’ means something different for every skin tone, you can chose your preferred shade in store, or enter a code online (Honey, Teddy or Taupe).

MAC Cosmetics is well-known for its neutral lipsticks (pre Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Jenner swore by Velvet Teddy as her taupey shaded of choice). Honeylove is a light, soft beige that’s smoothing and perfect on fairer complexions, while Teddy 2.0 is a more hydrating version of the original Velvet Teddy. It’s almost got a purple-ish tone to it, and is ace if you want to create an opaque, polished lip look. Taupe on the other hand is a creamy, muted reddish-brown that’s flattering on deeper skin tones, or anyone who wants to emulate a rich, ’90s supermodel hue.

The offer is available in-store and online from now until Sunday the 31st. It’s also being offered by MAC’s leading retailers, including David Jones, Myer, Adore Beauty, and The Iconic. It is known to sell out (people plan their weekends around this offer), so if you want to nab your shade of choice, do it sooner rather than later.
