Lizzo is known for her vivid beauty transformations, and her latest is no different. The star recently debuted a fresh hair colour, rocking hot pink highlights throughout her loose, curly tresses. The highlights were placed strategically throughout the mid-lengths of her hair so that the colour peeked through and popped against her dark locks.
In videos posted to her Instagram and TikTok pages, Lizzo showed off her new look, which she matched to her manicure. The About Damn Time singer chose a vibrant pink that coordinated with her coloured tresses, opting for flared, duck-bill shaped talons decorated with tiny gemstones. Her hair also boasted several face-framing layers with a soft curtain fringe.
On the TikTok video, Lizzo added the caption, “Y’all I just realized that I’m royalty in Star Wars which is Disney which makes me a Disney princess.” The artist made a recent appearance in the Disney-backed TV series The Mandalorian that precludes the iconic film saga, where she played The Duchess of Plazir-15.
Speaking about her role in the popular show, Lizzo shared on Instagram, “When I was a young girl my dad introduced me to Star Wars like a rite of passage. The trilogies are his favorite movies and quickly became mine. When Jon Favreau called me and offered the role of The Dutchess I cried all day wishing my dad was still with us cus he’d be so proud.”
She continued, “Star Wars was a dream I never thought was possible — but thanks to Jon, Bryce, and everyone in the galaxy I am now part of the ever-expanding saga of the stars. I am in honorable company and forever grateful. This is The Way…. and May the Force be with you.”
In the post about her new hair, Lizzo wrote, “I guess imma Disney princess now.”
