Pardon the pun but today’s news is good as hell. In an interview with Andy Cohen on his namesake show SiriusXM Radio Andy at the weekend, Lizzo confirmed that she is dating after the host addressed rumours from last October. “Yeah, whatever yeah,” the singer responded to questions about whether she had a new love interest.
For the uninitiated, Lizzo was photographed with a mystery man outside Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood back in February as well Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills last October. You can see the photos, here.
Cohen went on to suggest that it must be difficult to date such a famous singer to which she shrugged off, noting it is not “even a factor” in her relationships. “If you have the right person, no, not at all,” she said. “It should be mutually supportive no matter what that person does.”
A small part of us wished – “manifested” if you will – that rumours Lizzo was pregnant with Chris Evans’ baby last July was real though. The pair had been jokingly (?) flirting via Instagram DMs before the “Truth Hurts” artist took to TikTok with a series of hilarious videos about her alleged romance with the actor.
“This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we’re airing out all the rumours today, I’ve been sucking in,” she said. “We’re gonna have a little America.”
In response, Evan sent another DM to Lizzo writing, “Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy. My mother will be so happy lol. (Just promise me no gender reveal parties lol).”
The 33-year-old also appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend where she addressed rumours she was “dating every little white boy in Hollywood.”
“They think I’m collecting members of One Direction like Infinity Stones,” she said during the opening monologue. “I even heard a rumour that I’m pregnant with Chris Evans’ baby. I have no idea where that one started.”
