Dior has long been cemented in the technique of haute couture. In addition to the House’s usual seasonal offering of garments and accessories, the French brand presents two collection steeped in intricate craftsmanship and spectacular one-off pieces every year. This week, Dior will open Haute Couture Fashion Week from Paris where Maria Grazia Chiuri will unveil couture Fall/Winter 2022.

The runway will take place on Monday July 4 at 3pm CET (or at 11pm AEST for Australian viewers). On Instagram Dior teased a first look at the forthcoming collection which reportedly celebrates “folklore” and “tradition”. In a video from the atelier, dressmakers can be seen hand stitching tiny pleats and appliquéing cream lace.
