While we’re always rooting for long lasting happiness and love, Amelia Hamlin and Scott Disick’s relationship felt doomed from the start. Sure, they lasted a solid 11 months but considering the reality star was upset when nobody cared he was dating a 19-year-old model (namely, Kourtney Kardashian) we saw the red flags. And according to Hamlin’s mother, Days of Our Lives‘ Lisa Rinna, she did too.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the actress and reality star was asked what the worst thing she said behind Disick’s back. Her attempt at hiding disdain for the man was poor.
She paused, thinking carefully before her next comment and said, “You know, I’ve actually been quite nice about Scott Disick. And I would never say that out loud, anything. I might have thought things that weren’t very good. Can I atone for my thoughts?”
Referring to comments she made on Real Housewives of Beverley Hills, she added, “I wasn’t mean. Listen, I tried really hard. I was really patient, and I tried really hard. We’ll leave it at that.”
On television back in August, Rinna quipped in a conversation on the matter, “Like, why can’t it be Harry Styles?,” she asked. “Why the f–k is it Scott Disick?”
Hamlin split with Disick in early September after he made comments about Kardashian’s PDA with Travis Barker in Italy. Hamlin soon published a photo on Instagram wearing a tank top that read, “Don’t you have a girlfriend?”. The news broke shortly after that.
“They have been arguing a lot recently and Scott’s DMs to Younes really set Amelia over the edge,” a source close to the model told E! News. “She was very embarrassed over that whole situation and Scott wasn’t very remorseful. It’s really hard to date Scott because he will never fully be over Kourtney. It’s always a point of contention in every single one of his relationships. The split was a long time coming and many of their friends agree it’s for the best.”
