While Lindsay Lohan has been quietly making appearances in film and television throughout the last decade, her last iconic role was Just My Luck in 2006. According to Netflix, the actress and socialite will make her big return to the screen in a forthcoming romantic comedy. The film is yet to be named but will be based on the Christmas period.

“Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident,” the tweet reads.

Lohan has most recently appeared in the 2019 film, Among the Shadows and The Canyon’s in 2013. Her most famous roles however include Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Herbie Fully Loaded and the aforementioned rom-com, Just My Luck.

The past two decades have seen Lohan in and out of rehab as she battled addiction. In 2019 for the CNN New Year’s Eve special, Lohan admitted she wanted to “focus on me” and “come back to America and start filming again.” She added that she wanted to take “back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys.”

On Instagram, the 34-year-old has shared a number of cryptic images in Dubai for what only appears as another project in the works. Just three days ago she captioned her last image, “The beginning of something…”

Consider us intrigued.

We’re excited to have the Hollywood star back on the silver screen. Even if that means missing out on more dancing videos. Who could forget Lohan drunkingly dancing at her own namesake beach resort or the time she wore a pink power suit and danced alongside a moving car at a petrol station.

Welcome back, Lohan.
