Good morning to Lily James in Versace and no one else. Ok, maybe Sebastian Stan too. Overnight the Pam & Tommy co-stars walked the red carpet for the highly-anticipated premiere from Hulu. In an homage to Anderson’s own bold red carpet style, the actress was dressed in a bubblegum pink Atelier Versace blazer and corset-style mini dress which featured a series of midriff-baring cutouts.

Forget midriff flossing, extreme cut-outs have taken precedence and we’re all about it. The look was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray and finished with silver Anita Ko earrings and platform metallic heels. The incredible ensemble followed an earlier promotional appearance where James paid tribute to the Baywatch star in a Vivienne Westwood corset. You can read about all those details, here.

The controversial series was released to an impressed rooms of critics. The early reviews are in with Digital Spy describing the series as James and Stan’s “best work”. Variety wrote that Pam & Tommy was a “an outright triumph, both of acting and of special-effects make-up” while The Hollywood Reporter added James succeeds in “making Pamela less of a caricature with each episode”.

Pam & Tommy is an eight-part limited series and follows the dramatised true story of Anderson and her then-husband Tommy Lee (played by Stan). It attempts to uncover the couple’s tumultuous relationship and the leaking of their honeymoon sex tape in 1997.

Upon announcement of the new Hulu project, it garnered plenty of backlash from Courtney Love. The production team reportedly asked permission from the American singer-songwriter to use an image.

On Facebook Love wrote, “Last week I was asked to approve using a rolling stone cover of mine / shot by mark seliger in this piece of shit . That they had approved . I said “ fuck no . “ shocked . Gentleman don’t approve this sort of thing . My heart goes out to Pammy ♥️♥️further causing her complex trauma . And shame on lily James whoever the fuck she is . #vile.”

On this occasion, the critics seem to disagree with Love. Pam & Tommy will release onto Hulu in the US and Disney+ in Australian from February 2, 2022.
