The buzzy third season to Emily in Paris is fast approaching so forgive us for drawing parallels but something tells us Lily Collins’ most recent red carpet appearance is something her on-screen character would love.
At the weekend the actress stepped out with husband Charlie McDowell for the 2nd annual Academy Museum Gala dinner in Los Angeles. For the star-studded occasion she wore a Christian Dior ensemble direct from the Autumn/Winter 2022 runway. Styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn the look featured a sheer lace bodysuit paired with a full floor-skimming gathered skirt in an abstract rose print.
Cartier jewellery and platform strappy heels finished the ensemble while the actress’ brunette locks were twisted into a top knot and secured with a velvet bow by stylist Gregory Russell. A perfect Parisian touch. Celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles – a long time collaborator of the actress – applied a matte base and soft plum eye with a soft blended cat eye. A new fall beauty look for the Northern Hemisphere.
Collins joined a pretty impressive guest list for the evening and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Kaia Gerber, Tilda Swinton who was honoured during the evening, and Sophie Turner. It was also the location of a surprise reconciliation for Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez who have been embroiled in a cyber feud (namely between fans) since 2018.
The Mirror Mirror actress tied the knot with her writer and director husband McDowell in September 2021 wearing a whimsical Ralph Lauren lace gown. The couple started dating in June 2019 before the filmmaker proposed in 2020.
