TRIBECA, NEW YORK: Right now, it is quite literally nine degrees in NYC. New Yorkers have been advised to have their Moncler black downs at the ready as temperatures are set to drop to sub-freezing lows. In order to text, your freezing cold digits – preferably with your body attached – have to be inside. And the quickest reprieve from the cold snap experienced on any subway platform is inside the packed carriages themselves. And yet here, exiting The Greenwich Hotel is Margot Robbie in an open-toed black strappy heel, some unflattering wide-legged Chanel jeans and a light knit. The entire look is a direct pull from Chanel’s SS19 collection shown in Paris in October. (Thankfully, she omitted the visor because, well, it’s not sunny.)

The Oscar nominated actress and Chanel ambassador was spotted leaving the hotel from suspected meetings, her appearance a big deviation from her current film, Mary Queen Of Scots. The actress, 28, told Page Six she got up at 4.30am every morning to apply her chicken pox blisters and scars. But even then, her regal gowns would have been warmer than her current streetwear ensemble. So what are your thoughts on the trans-seasonal outfit in the midst of a New York fall?

In an earlier interview with Porter magazine, Robbie talked about the challenges of shooting a sex scene with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf Of Wall Street, an actor she wasn’t well-acquainted with at the time. “It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in. All men,” Robbie said. “For 17 hours I’m pretending to be touching myself. It’s just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and the absurdity, really deep, and fully commit.”

Mary, Queen Of Scots will hit Australian cinemas on January 17.
