Hermès’ entry into the beauty category has been deliberate and meaningful. Initially, there was lipstick — a colour cosmetic steeped in beauty history, and one that payed homage to the brand’s stories relationship with colour, texture and craftsmanship.

Then there was Rose Hermès, a powder blush that has a suede-like finish on the skin and came in six rosy shades of pink perfection.

Now, the house has ushered in Les Mains Hermès, a collection of products dedicated to the beauty (and hard-working nature) of our hands. Comprised of nail files, a hand cream, cuticle oil, a base coat, top coat and coloured enamel, the range hits every Hermès marker: beauty, quirk, quality and with a huge emphasis on colour.

It’s also a nice full circle moment for the French luxuriate, given its origins are quite literally in handiwork and leather creation — even now, each and every Birkin bag is stitched, shaped and moulded by hand.

Les Mains Hermès is available now online in selected Hermès boutiques. Scroll on to discover our favourites from the range.
