Some of Australia’s most critically-acclaimed musical exports including Tame Impala, Nick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker) and Jagwar Ma will headline the 2017 Laneway Festival, the lineup for which was announced this morning.

The 2017 festival dates will mark Tame Impala’s first Australian shows since 2015, a banner year that saw frontman Kevin Parker release the Grammy-nominated, universally adored third album Currents, as well as headline Splendour in the Grass and sell-out what were incredible concerts in the Sydney Opera House forecourt. Last week, Parker’s collaboration with Mark Ronson, BloodPop and Lady Gaga on the latter’s divisive comeback single Perfect Illusion made its debut, with the singer describing Parker as a “musical genius” earlier this week.

All three acts will make their return to the stages of Laneway, a local festival favourite, alongside international acts including Glass Animals, Floating Points and NAO as well as a strong contingent of local performers like Ecca Vandal, Gang of Youths, former Tame Impala band member Nicholas Allbrook, Sampa The Great and Jess Kent.

The full lineup, as well as dates and locations can be found below. Tickets go on sale at 9.00am September 21. More information can be found here.
