Lady Gaga’s long awaited (read: three years) as-yet-untitled fifth album is in sight, the singer teasing us with it’s first single today, Perfect Illusion. Co-produced with Mark Ronson, Bloodpop (formerly Blood Diamonds) and Kevin Parker from one of Australia’s most successful export Tame Impala. And, you can definitely hear Parker’s influence within Gaga’s new rock sound. And to go with her new sound comes a new image (stripped back and bare) and a guitar. According to Ronson, the 30-year-old (with 1.3 billion streams worldwide) learnt the instrument especially for the album. “She’s never played guitar in public before,” Ronson told Rolling Stone. “But guitar is something she is learning. That side of her, I don’t think a lot of the world has seen. It’s really great to make this very honest, authentic, kind of analog record with her.” Listen to the dance-rock number below.
