Yesterday, Tristan Thompson officially regained his title of the world’s worst boyfriend, revealing that is in fact the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby boy, as has been rumoured for the past month.
After a paternity test confirmed what we all knew, Thompson finally acknowledged the scandal—and his third child—while giving a shoutout to Khloe Kardashian, who he’s now publicly cheated on three times, in the process.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” the NBA player wrote on Instagram stories. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.” He continued, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both privately and publicly.”
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he added (ah! does anyone?!). “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” (facts!). “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” (the only thing we all agree on here).
Hours later, Lamar Odom, Kardashian’s ex-husband, decided to enter the chat. Yet again.
Odom commented on a Facebook post that discussed the results of the paternity test and Thompson’s apology, writing about Kardashian, “I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I’m hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends.” He added, “She is a good person and deserves the world.”
Odom and Kardashian were married from 2009 to 2016, during which time he also didn’t treat her anywhere near the way she deserves, either. In July 2021, after Kardashian split with Thompson again, both of her NBA exes seemingly fought over her in the comment section of her Instagram account. At the time, sources told E! News Kardashian found the whole saga “childish.”
As for how Kardashian is faring now? a different source revealed she has been “ignoring the noise” and is “focused on co-parenting” amid Thompson’s paternity lawsuit with Nichols.
