Kylie Jenner celebrated the launch of the Kylie Skin coconut-inspired Body Range the only way she knows how: extravagantly. She basically invited a bunch of her very best gal pals (who also happen to be Instagram stars) on a custom Kylie Skin private jet to the Turks and Caicos. They wore Kylie-Skin branded tracksuits, drank Kylie Skin-stamped coconuts, ate mini burgers and paraded around the glistening waters of the West Indies in teeny tiny bikinis, one of which has a rather exceptional backstory.

The baby blue Chanel bikini at the centre of Kylie Jenner’s long-winded, rather racy Instagram photoshoot is in fact older than Kylie herself, first debuting on the runway in 1994 for Chanel’s Spring ready-to-wear collection – three years after Kylie was born (in 1997).

Originally worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, the aqua bikini features tie detailing, gold balls and a big, brazen CC logo on the brief. While the original logo was black, Kylie’s vintage version boasted the classic double-C in white, with the retro swimsuit retailing for a reported $US1690 ($A2400).

But the vintage Chanel party didn’t stop there. She completed the look with one of the House’s signature gold chain belts, plus a host of gilded accoutrements, which included gold clip on earrings and bangles reminiscent of the ritzy glitzy 80s.

Just the thing to take a $2400 bikini to the next level of extra.
