New mum Kylie Jenner has announced her baby’s name on Instagram, of course. Posting a picture of her newborn daughter, the reality star and cosmetic mogul captioned the post “stormi”.
While fans had speculated Jenner would name her daughter Butterfly (see the convincing theory – including a butterfly themed nursery – here), the name announcement has caused controversy of a different kind. The internet has been linking the name to pornstar Stormy Daniels, the identity at the centre of a rumour alleging she had an affair with President Donald Trump.
Many are saying the act of naming your daughter the same name as a pornstar who in currently in the news for sleeping with the president of your country is ignorant. Others are labelling it cruel. Is it any surprise though? Jenner did announce she’d had the baby five days after giving birth – and this so happened to be just two hours before the biggest sporting headline in the world, the Super Bowl.
